Talk therapy

Registered psychologist 46-60 mins | $180 |

Online or in-person, this time is designated for individuals to process and explore their thoughts whist building skills.

Fees are paid on the day in full. A Medicare rebate may be available. Please see below.

Please note; The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2022-2023 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $280.  As Daybreak Wellbeing is committed to supporting the wonderful people in our community we have ensured that our rates remain well below the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fees for psychologists. 

Letters and other documents

Short letter under one page can be provided within session time

Short letter one to two pages prepared outside of session | $75

Medium - long letter over two pages prepared outside of session | $150

This time will be spent evaluating and summarizing your treatment. This may be for purposes of ongoing care, transferring files or documents to assist you engage in other services.

If you need an assessment report by a clinical psychologist for court or other reason please discuss this prior to your initial session and we can make suggestions on a clinician who is better matched to do this for you.

Cancellations and

late changes

Late cancellation fee | $75

Non attendance fee | $180

It is important to prioritise your appointments. This reflects your wellbeing as a priority. Consistent regular attendance of appointments has been shown to be better for treatment outcomes. If for some reason you need to cancel or alter your appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice. This enables others to utilise the available appointment.

If you realise with short notice you can not make it into the office, you can attend via phone or video consultation. This avoids any fees and allows you to focus on your wellbeing without delay.

If you do have to cancel you appointment with less than 48 hours notice a cancelation fee will occur. If you miss the appointment without giving notice the full amount of the appointment will be invoiced. Please note that Medicare does not rebate for late cancellations or missed appointments and you would incur this full fee amount.

Supervision

60mins | $160 |

This time will be spent reflecting on your practice. We will explore the pillars of therapy and build your confidence as a practitioner

Medicare Rebates

Registered psychologist 46-60 mins | $180 paid in full with a $89.65 rebate payable back to you from Medicare

You may be eligible to receive the Medicare rebate for your psychological sessions. If you wish to receive the rebate, please ensure that you have a mental health care plan and referral letter from your general practitioner, psychiatrist, or paediatrician, prior to your first appointment.

 If you have used Medicare rebated sessions with another practitioner, please notify us at time of booking your initial session so we can check how many rebated sessions you have remaining as Medicare caps the number of sessions per year.

You do not need a referral from your GP to see a psychologist if you do not wish to get the Medicare rebate.
